AT THE SHIPYARDS

SHIP DESIGN

Zhinkin V. B. Propulsion-steering complex for amphibious submersible
The author proposes a conception of propulsion-steering complex for amphibious submersible that can travel upon the bottom, come out onto the land and to maneuver when moving through the water and upon the ground.

Argatov I. I. On calculation of a ship docking
Equilibrium of a spring beam upon several non-restraining elastic supports is studied. The problem is derived which includes two equations of static equilibrium and conditions of compatibility in moving upon a number of supports. Determination of support reactions is reduced to quadratic programming.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Nikiforov B. V., Sokolov V. S., Yurin A. V. New power-supply sources for non-nuclear submarines
A brief account of the history of creation of submarines with air-independent power plants (PP) is given. Main tendencies in development of modern PP on non-nuclear submarines are considered. The results of designing of PP with electrochemical generators for prospective Russian submarines are given.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Podzirey Y. S. Lift-cruise engine for ekranoplan
The author gives the principle scheme of a two-stroke diesel with linear distribution of exhaust utilized for airflowing over the upper surface of a surface effect ship (SES) designed as a "flying wing". The mean rate of airflowing and minimum engine power at the starting regime needed for total unloading of the ship and reducing the hydrodynamic load component to zero are estimated. The possibility is considered for utilization of such engine for increasing the backup pressure and improving the SES pitch stability.

Pashin V. M., Petrov E. L., Hazov B. S., Shalik G. P. Project of "Nerpa" underground nuclear thermoelectric power station of gallery type
Performance characteristics are given for underground nuclear thermoelectric power station constructed on the basis of shipboard steam installations with the utilization of shipbuilding technologies.

SHIPBOARD SYSTEMS

Fomin A. P. Normative support for shipboard fittings interchangeability
The situation with standardization in shipbuilding of Russia and CIS states is analyzed; there are standards for joints dimensions and no standards for face-to-face lengths of products that are to be elaborated to provide geometric interchangeability of fittings within the new conditions of products design and manufacture.

MARINE ELECTRICAL AND RADIO EQUIPMENT

Prihodko V. M. Light-emitting diode device for checking transformers and switches
Description is given for a portable device designed for checking of group references in power three-phase transformers and reading of circle diagrams.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING AND ECONOMICS

Lebedeva A. Yu. Forming of finance results of a shipbuilding yard under conditions of market economy
The procedure is given for calculation of a shipbuilding yard economic efficiency on the basis of gross production and acknowledged income indices that permit to reveal the most profitable operating departments.

Suslov A. N., Skripchenko Yu. M. CALS technologies: development of information support in shipbuilding
The authors consider CALS-technologies for provision of continuous information support of processes of construction, acquisition and operation of sophisticated technical objects in shipbuilding.

REPAIR AND MODERNIZATION OF SHIPS

Stoptsov N. A., Butskalev A. N. Types of air pollution and measures of atmosphere protection during ship scrapping
The paper gives calculation results of a hazard factor for harmful emissions produced during ship scrapping, based on their maximum permissible concentration, as well as calculation results of dust content values polluting the shipyard's air environment. Recommendations are given to provide environment-friendliness during gas cutting of ship structures.

SHIPBUILDING AND MARINE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES

Khvalynsky V. N. Residual strain analysis of welded stiffening rings and optimization of their manufacture
The paper gives an approximate analysis of residual radial movements of stiffening rings due to welding together of their webs and flanges. The analysis helps to simplify further assembly of stiffening ring with shell plate. Technological measures are proposed to reduce residual weld deformations arising during stiffener fabrication.

Gavriliuk L. P. Utilization of modern 3D measuring systems in shipbuilding
The main methods and means of 3D measurements and the possibilities of their utilization in shipbuilding are considered. The principles are proposed for creation of branch system of measuring and geometry control of shipbuilding products with the use of 3D measuring means.

Nasedkin S. P., Vorobiov V. P. Modern energy-saving systems of air conditioning for shipbuilding yards
The authors analyze the modern systems of centralized and autonomous air conditioning from the point of view of provision of the required microclimate at the areas of different purposes, savings of heat and cold used for air treatment.
