Pashin V. M. Once again about the role and the tasks of the theory of ship design

Examined in the article are the tasks of the theory of ship design under current conditions as well as reliability and reasonability of the use of design equations and the role of computerization in the process of ship design development.

CIVIL SHIPBUILDING

Egorov G. V., Avtutov N. V., Bagautdinov R. D. Pr. RSD44 river dry cargo vessels with a deadweight of 5540 t with low above-water dimensions

Considered in the article are distinctive features of designing of river-marine ships intended for operation in inland waters.

Alexandrov A. V., Kryzhevich G. B., Norkov E. S., Shaposhnikov V. M. Application of modern computational fluid dynamics programmed complexes when estimating structural strength and vibrations of the ship

Analyzed are the main trends of application of CFD programmed complexes when calculating rated load and deformations of the ship structures.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Dubrovsky V. A. Concerning multihull ships – using minimum analysis of a ship propulsion

The author represents a comparative analysis of main performances of multihull and single hull vessels.

Zamukov V. V., Kurdyukov I. I., Razuvaev E. N. Implementation of through technology of developing algorithms for control of naval objects complicated technical systems

Defined in the article are criteria of applicability of specialized software intended for development of algorithms for control of complicated technical objects.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Balabanov B. A., Vasin I. M., Tokarev L. N. Selection of voltage of unified marine electric generating system

Adduced in the article are the results of investigations of the processes in short-circuited electric generating system of electrically propelled vessel. Calculation of short-circuit current were performed at different levels of generators voltage, from 400 V up to 6300 V, and also at various generators parameters.

Kireyev S. O., Sidorov P. G., Sinyov A. V. Planetary cog-wheel reduction gears for marine nuclear powerplants

Described in the article are the main schemes of planetary cog-wheel reduction gears. The history of such gears developments is also reviewed in brief. The authors propose to use these reduction gears in marine nuclear powerplants instead of planetary ones with involute teeth.

Romanovsky V. V., Shtykov V. F., Volkov O. G. Distinctive features of main diesels operation in seaway

The article discloses the problems of operation of main diesels in electrical propulsion plant and in plant with controllable-pitch propeller in seaway. The efficiency of main diesels operation in electrical propulsion plants is adduced. The authors represent oscillograms of main diesels operating in seaway.

SHIPBOARD EQUIPMENT

Dolgov A. N., Krasavtsev V. E. Computer-aided control system for fishery navigation

Examined is a design of navigating-fishing computer-aided system for control of a vessel movement during fishing. The abovementioned design is being developed by Vector Marine Electronics, Ltd under the technical requirements of JSC «Giprorybflot» within the framework of FTP «Development of civil marine technique». The main destination of this system is to work out recommendations for a ship operator ensuring efficient aiming trawl and seine-net fishing. The system is designed for use on medium and large fishing vessels.

Ravin A. A., Proskuryakov K. B. Analysis of vibration characteristics of axial-flow compressor’s rotor blades

The article represents the results of the influence of cracks on the vibration properties of the rotor blades of marine gas turbine axial compressor. Simulation was performed using finite-element method with the help of ANSIS.

SHIPBUILDING ORGANIZATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Petrov N. V. Centering of mechanisms by force interaction parameters

Represented in the article is the comparative analysis of mechanisms centering processes. The author proposes to perform centering according to bending moment and transverse force shafts’ connections. Also dependences are defined for experimental determination of nominal values and tolerances of bending moment and transverse force. The author grounds possible indirect control of force interaction parameters by turning angles and deflections of shafts or by sharp bends and displacements of shafts.

Svetlikov V. A., Ivanov V. M. Designing of technology for thermal straightening of thin-walled welded hull’s bulkhead sheets

Developed by the authors are methods of designing a technology for thermal straightening of thin-walled hull bulkhead sheets without local reheating. Application of these methods allow to prevent inadmissible decrease in mechanical and corrosive characteristics of hull metal and to reduce costs of straightening operations when building hulls of high-speed vehicles (ships, trains, etc.)
