CIVIL SHIBUILDING

Matskevich V. A., Ryazantsev Yu. I. Domestic new generation liner diesel-electric icebreaker A description of domestic new generation liner diesel-electric icebreaker being under construction at OAO «Baltiyski yard» is provided. The ship principal design data are presented.

Egorov G. V., Alekperov R.A., Tonyuk V. I. First «Azov max» dry cargo ship A description of 8020 dwt sea-going vessel project RSD 12, which was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau, is provided. That is the first «mouth» dry cargo ship with maximum possible dimensions for call at Russia’s Sea of Azov shallow water ports.

Kireev V. N., Matskevich V. A., Ryasantsev Yu. I. Calculation of register tonnage at the earlier design stages under the MK-69 rules Approximation formulae and simplified procedure allowing one to determine the ship tonnage under the MK-69 rules at the earlier design stages (before producing the lines drawing) are proposed.

Matlakh A. P. Problem aspects of active ice ship construction As it is shown, to provide reliability growth of active ice ships, an integrated study of hull strength and reliability which is possible on the basis of new information and technological approaches combining the constructive and technological means of protection with on-line monitoring of strength and vibration parameters is required. Moreover, these approaches should cover design, construction and operation of the ship.

Shvarev Yu. V. How you should not build ships The problems of domestic shipbuilding concerned with implementation of long-term programs, state support of the industry, competitions arrangement, budgetary financing, customers’ part etc. are analyzed. To establish the Federal Executive Agency being charged with construction, repair and scrapping of warships and vessels built at the expense of the federal budget is suggested.

 NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Korobkov O. K., Nikolski V. I., Titushkin S. I. The world’s first fiberglass minesweeper The aspects of fiberglass ship construction are considered. Design and construction process of minesweepers pr. 1252 and their foreign analogue, i. e. the English minesweeper «Wilton», is traced. The ships’ tactical particulars and drawings are provided.

SHIP POWER PLANTS

Skiba A. N., Bashurov B. P. Concerning systems approach in studying problems of marine energy complex effectiveness and reliability increase The aspects of systems concept when studying the problems concerned with increase of effectiveness and reliability as applied to marine energy complexes based on innovation and diffusion-wave theories are proposed for consideration.

Obosov A. A. Design features and characteristics of marine low-speed high-boost diesel 7S50MC-C The author tells of a new marine low-speed high-boost diesel the Bryansk machine-building plant has started to produce.

MARINE INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING

Katanovich A. A. Automated simulator complex for training of ship crew The author tells of principles of construction and realization of automated simulator complex for training of ship crew. The structural and functional schemes of the complex are provided.

SHIPBUILDING ORGANIZATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Alferov V. I., Mikhailov V. S. Simulation of process of general deformation correction for «Volgo-neft» tanker hull in the renewal process A description of procedure for simulation of process of general deformation correction for the «Volgo-neft»-type tanker hull with the use of technological means in the conditions of horizontal berth during the ship renewal is provided. This process is fulfilled in two stages: at first, the hull general bending is significantly reduced up to acceptable level and then worn-out structures are replaced.

SHIP REPAIR AND UTILIZATION

Kramorenko A. V., Shmakov R. A. New technology for transportation of nuclear submarines put out of commission for scrapping A description of development of detail design for transportation of nuclear submarine to be scrapped aboard the special ship is provided. Different variants of transportation, their advantages and disadvantages are considered.
