AT THE SHIPYARDS

SHIP DESIGN

Khodorovsky A. L.
Experience with application of various CAD systems in the design of hull lines
The paper deals with application of CAD systems in the design of ship hull lines with the use of the radiusography method. Requirements are given which must be complied with by CAD systems used in CDB MT "Rubin" in the design of marine vehicles.

Kryzhevich G. B.
Probabilistic calculation procedure for non-linear ship motions and forces affecting hull structures
A new method is proposed for solving non-linear problems of ship static dynamics in a frequency field. The method permits to evaluate probabilistic distributions of pitch and roll amplitudes and peak values of loads defining the hull strength. Calculation results of the proposed method are compared with results obtained with the methods of statistical linearization and function generation of random variables.

Shostak V. P., Golikov V. I.
Algoritm for determination of fatigue strength margin of drilling pipes in the operation of a drill ship
A calculation is given of an actual fatigue strength margin of drill pipes in the operation of drill ships and a need for regular survey of drill pipes for faults aboard ship with the use of the proposed calculation procedure is justified.

Pankov V. I.
Classification of ships and floating technical facilities of oil and gas production fleet
The paper gives a classification of floating technical facilities of oil and gas production fleet which are used for prospecting and exploitation of offshore oil and gas deposits on the continental shelf.

The influence of the shape of a submarine's forward extremity on hydrodynamic flow about its hull and propeller noisiness
Based on calculations and model tests in wind tunnel of Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute, an analysis is presented on the effect of the shape of a submarine's forward extremity on hydrodynamic characteristics of flow about its hull and propeller noisiness at a propeller blade frequency. This allows the development of the forward extremity to be considered as an integral part of the whole design process. Recommendations are given for practical design work.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Rosenberg G. Sh., Neelov A. N., Golub E. S., Madorsky E.S., Vinnitsky M. L.
Technical diagnosis expert systmes "Veshchun"
The main principles of operation of the technical diagnosis expert systems "Veshchun" are considered. A description of the system is given.

HULL GEAR AND AUXILIARIES

Stepanov A. M., Fedorov A. L.
Power prospects of water-jet propellers
The authors consider a potential increase in power efficiency of ships and submersibles when using a water-jet propulsion system with distributed suction of sea water from a boundary layer. Some elements of theoretical studies and results of experimental investigations are presented.

MARINE ELECTRICAL AND RADIO EQUIPMENT

Kireev Yu. N., Karandashov A. Yu., Yurin A. V.
Automated design system for shipboard electrical networks
The paper considers the main aspects of an automated design system for shipboard power networks for distribution of electric power. The algorithm is presented which was developed and realized by the authors in the automated design of a specific autonomous marine vehicle.

Vislenev Yu. S., Kuznetsov S. E., Lemin L. A.
Evaluation of the technical condition of shipboard cables in service conditions
A procedure is considered for evaluation of the technical condition of shipboard cables during their certification with the use of standard shipborne meters and portable electrical measuring instruments and, if necessary, results of calculation of residual service life and laboratory tests.

MARINE INSTRUMENTS

Bubnov E. A.
Expanding functional capabilities of data display means of shipboard centralized control systems
The paper considers characteristics of circuit engineering methods of supervising process parameters of a shipboard power plant in centralized control system "Rotor". Various versions are proposed to improve data calls on the screen in service conditions.

Komlyakov V. A., Tarasyuk Yu. F.
Expendable probes for measuring hydrophysical parameters of oceanic environment
The paper considers a field of application of expendable hydrophysical probes, features of their design, technical characteristics, basic parameters of possible channels for data transfer and factors affecting an accuracy of measured parameters and the depths of submergence. The authors present designs of remotely-controlled launching devices employed on surface ships for probe dropping.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING AND ECONOMICS

Lebedeva A. Yu.
Problems of management accounting in Russian shipbuilding
The author considers a problem of administrating accounting and supervision of shipyards in a marketplace environment. The objective of management accounting in modern conditions is a production activity of the enterprise.
