CIVIL SHIPBUILDING

Matskevich V. A., Bylinovich E. S., Ryazantsev Yu. I. Passenger and research ships as designed by CSDB «Balsudoproject» The article represents brief description as well as characteristics of passenger ships and research vessels built under the projects of CSDB «Baltsudoproject» from the late twenties of the 20th century.

Gorin E. A. Shipbuilding in Norway On the basis of foreign publications the author reviews the Norwegian shipbuilding industry of late years. Pointed out are specific features of shipyards’ development, typical products, dynamics of investments in shipbuilding industry.

Nikuschenko D. V. Method of calculation of hydrodynamic characteristics of submerged objects’ wing systems The article represents the description of calculation complex WingSim intended for flow modelling of submerged objects’ wing systems. For this purpose panel numerical method is used (method of discrete vortex peculiarities), allowing to receive fast and correct information.

Keshkov D. I., Nikuschenko D. V. The use of calculation complex FLUENT® in flow modeling of submersible vehicle cruciform tail unit Analyzed is possible use of numerical method by the example of tail unit flow modeling of submersible vehicle with non-shifted rudders on the basis of FLUENT® calculation complex.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Kovtun L. I., Sharkov N. A. Generalization methods and interfaces for data representation on captain’s workstation in problems of safe navigation in emergency Presented are methodical developments for ship’s information support systems during damage control in case of emergency. The developments are based on simulation and situational modeling of inner and outer processes concerned with a ship. The use of diagrams of hazardous conditions, tolerated risks and inadmissible dangers as a tool for data generalization and ranking by the risk degree will allow enhancing the efficiency of decisions to be taken by command personnel during damage control. Perspective development of powerplants with electrochemical generators for submarines

B. V. Nikiforov, A. V. Chigaryov, V. K. Ikonnikov, V. Yu. Ryzhkin, V. P. Baykov Examined are problems and perspectives of development of powerplants with electrochemical generators for submarines. Comparison of various versions of powerplants with electrochemical generators is reviewed. The version of electrochemical generator with hydrogen recovery by means of aluminum hydrolysis is presented as the most promising one. Cited are the results of such powerplant designing as well as the results of model testing of its basic element – a hydrogen recovery plant.

Morozova L. D., Nikolaev N. P., Rumyantsev Ju. N. Main features of naval ships and vessels designing and building The article describes the main features of naval ships and vessels designing and building, the above-said features influencing application in shipbuilding industry of state military standards for products development and manufacturing application systems. The ways of further development of state and branch military standards in shipbuilding are also proposed.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Vasyukov E. S., Chernyavsky O. A., Obozov A. A. Marine low-speed diesels of Bryansk Engineering Plant – Wartsila with electronic control of RT-Flex type The authors examine the Bryansk Engineering Plant program of installation of Wartsila Switzerland fuel injection electronic control of RT-Flex type on licensed marine low-speed MAN diesels.

SHIPBOARD EQUIPMENT

Glazov Yu. E., Rakitina I. S., Tarasov D. L. Compensation of sound emission of cylindrical shell excited by installed equipment Using numerical simulation the authors investigate the possibilities to reduce sound emission of submerged into liquid cylindrical shell reinforced with partitions and stiffeners in case of secondary forces acting the shell. Using of spiral cable vibration isolators for equipping marine objects

E. G. Berestovitsky, V. I. Golovanov, N. V. Volkova, V. G. Ivanov, A. V. Slepov Analyzed are the results of experimental determination of domestic spiral cable vibroisolators (SCV) performances. The authors show that SCVs have some advantages compared to traditional rubber-metal ones and can be used for marine objects’ equipment.

Frolov M. S. Means of ships deicing Reviewed are the means of ice control, such as: physicochemical (organic-silicate materials, deicing coatings, chemical anti-icing agents), thermic (powered air-heaters, gasoline-air thermodriller, electroheating protective covers) and mechanical (magnetic-pulse deicer, pneumatic hammers).

MARINE INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING

Bobkov A. M., Zhytkov G. M., Penzeev A. V. Receiving of radio signals with magnetic antenna on a surface ship Comparison of signals quality received with magnetic antenna and with standard rod antennas 6m high under conditions of real radiocommunication on a surface ship showed that modern magnetic antennas allow to improve considerably signals quality. Also presented is brief information about some magnetic antennas being produced at present and fitting for surface ships.

 ECONOMICS AND FINANCES

Dorofeev V. Yu. Approach to submersible vehicles’ efficiency definition Reviewed are the main criteria of efficiency of submersible vehicles. The scheme of optimization of «carrier-ship – submersible vehicle» complex is offered.
