The authors analyze the problem of righting of overturned vessel with taking into consideration the behavior of air cushions in flooded compartment. Determination of righting moment value for setting the vessel in upright position allows to choose properly a method of righting and technical means for its realization.

Startsev S.B. Forecasting of hydrodynamic noise, emitted by foil systems of a ship
The article presents the author-developed half-empiric procedure and PC program for calculation of wide-band spectrum of noise emission produced by interaction of ship's rudders and stabilizers with non-uniform pulsing fluid. Validity of these procedure and program, confirmed by the results of experiments, shows the effectiveness of their utilization for designing of foil systems.

Nikitenkov S.S., Klimov V.V. "Bryansk" - the bilge and waste water collecting ship
The authors tell about designing and building of "Bryansk" - the ship for collecting of bilge and waste waters. The ship is designed by Design Bureau "Vostok", subdivision of FSUE CRIST, and built by PC "Vyborgsky shipyard".

Possibility of reduction of noise emission level of a jet-propeller with distributed takeout of fluid from boundary layer due to selection of water line geometry is considered. Results of experimental research are given.

Kolpakov S.P. Improvement of ecological safety of shipboard steam boilers by decrease in emission of nitric oxide
The article presents results of theoretic and experimental research of harmful substances emission during operation of steam boilers. Procedure for decrease of nitride oxide emissions on the basis of organization of controllable chemical underfiring is proposed.

Yakovlev A. F. Utilization of the ship's superstructure components for improvement of coaxial log-periodic antenna features
Design of a directional non-symmetric coaxial log-periodic metric- and microwave antenna is given. Advantages of its utilization on commercial and naval ships in comparison with non-directional antennas located close to superstructures are shown. Procedure for calculation of such antenna's geometric parameters and index of directional operation is given.

The article considers the structure and principles of construction of prospective shipboard hydroacoustic speed of sound meter with hardware program processing of data. Its main technical features and particulars of experimental model design are given.

Gavrilyuk L. P. Development of procedures for determination of geometric parameters of shipbuilding objects with the use of 3D measuring devices
The author reveals the necessity of taking into consideration of 3D measuring devices basing error relatively to the measured object and proposes a salvation for the problem of creation of verifying reference and method of optimization of 3D measuring devices selection at development of procedures for measurements execution in accordance with the requirements of international standards.

The authors give description of physical essence of waterless acoustic control of hatch covers, water and gas tight doors and portholes, technical parameters of acoustic control means and technology of determination of detachable joints tightness.

Vauchsky M. N. New approach to utilization of submarine reactor compartments
The author proposes a new approach to the problem connected with duration of berthing afloat of nuclear submarines put out of Navy service, temporary and prolonged storage of reactor compartments.

Kozlov V. S. Explosion cutting of ship's structures into scrap
The author presents the results of investigation in development of high-efficient technology of scrapping retired ships with the help of controlled explosion energy. It is shown that utilization of explosion methods of ship scrapping in comparison with traditional thermal cutting gives increase in labor productivity for 10-15 times, decrease of work cost value for 1.2-1.3 times, decrease of amount of harmful releases for more than 100 times, essential improvement in cutters' working conditions.
