Antonov A. M. Conceptual problems of design ensuring submariners' rescue This is the end of article initially published in issue No.3 Analyzed are the problems of design ensuring submariners' rescue. The problems appeared when creating submarines of the 4th generation. Analyzed are the influence of intercompartment bulkhead strength requirements on submarines' shipbuilding and performance elements, the efficiency of settled on bottom wrecked submarine compartments ventilation with an air fed from a rescue vessel as well as of exit by means of flooding a compartment. Proposed are the principles of submariners rescue design ensuring.

In accordance with analysis results, the predicted data has been achieved, which sufficiently simplifies calculations for fuel atomizers and furnaces overall dimensions.

S. «Vineta»: new developments in diesel fuel purification The author describes the activities of «Vineta», located in Nikolskoe city, Tosnensky area, the Leningrad region, carrying out orders of Russian marine industry. In particular, described is the diesel fuel separation unit ÁÑ 3,0/2,2-5, awarded a medal of contest «Best technical solution in civil shipbuilding and marine engineering area».

The problem related to pumps and fittings as sources of hydrodynamic noise The author examines characteristics and testing methods of pumps and fittings as sources of hydrodynamic noise during their designing or installation on ships together with hydrodynamic noise dampers. Substantiated in the article is possibility to use sound pressure and acoustic resistance on noise damper output as describing parameters for pumps and fittings as noise sources.

Experimental investigations of standard elements vibration characteristics of marine hydraulic systemsRepresented in the article are main results of experimental investigations of standard elements vibration characteristics of marine hydraulic systems. Investigations were conducted on hydraulic stand of JSC «Concern NPO Avrora». The authors draw out clear dependence of standard elements vibration rate from flow velocity in work environment. Proposed are the rates of flow velocities in work environment permissible from acoustic point of view.

Estimation of flexible joints acoustic resistance in conduits filled with liquid Examined are the estimation problems of flexible joints acoustic resistance in conduits filled with liquid. The author describes analytic solution of problem regarding conjoint float of liquid and shell. The author also describes solution algorithm of duplicate problem by means of finite element method based on ANSYS software system.

The authors describe availability of experimental data regarding acoustic resistance of hydrodynamic noise damper to define its performance efficiency when applying different types of its installation.

Economical efficiency estimation of measures related to reliability and safety assurance of shipboard power plants Analyzed in the article are the problems regarding economical efficiency estimation of measures to provide reliability and safety of shipboard power plants during design period. Calculating formulas for estimation of pioneer equipment engineering costs are proposed. In order to consider index of reliability and safety of ship power plants formulated in the article are the proposals to use ratio of constructive element failure effects during product life up to schedule replacement.

Concept of Russian shipbuilding industry reformation in modern conditions This article is the addition and development to article «Main trends of shipbuilding development in Russia» by Gerasimov N.I. and Teplyashyn M.V. The authors make special reference to shipbuilding technology reformation as it is the key element in reformation of a whole shipbuilding infrastructure.

Svetlikov V. A., Kuklin O. S. Bulkhead plate welding rigidity forecast The article represents the method of defining the critical width of bulkhead plate when welding it to support contour. The article considers that bulkhead plate is able to buckle not only with wavelike bend but also with U-shaped bend, and can be supported not only with edges but also with related bulkhead linings. Consideration of both potential curvatures provides reliability of technological operations design results, intended to decrease permanent welding strains of light-gage hull constructions, thus allowing to reduce reducing costs sufficiently and to increase quality of manufacture of light-gage hulls for high-speed transportation vessels (hoverships, railcars, etc.)
