CIVIL SHIPBUILDING

Chugunov V. V. Russian shipbuilding: capabilities and prospects in the domestic market of ships and marine equipment ordering The article represents evaluation of today’s capabilities of shipbuilding industry, the priorities of Russian market of ships ordering, as well as the problems of realization of potential orders and possible ways to solve them, on the leasing basis as well.

Sutyrin V. I. Method of reduction in the practice of calculation of ship hull structures The author points out a wide range of problems calculated using the method of reduction offered by Ju. A. Shymansky in 1948. By the example of solution of applied task of trouble-free operation of fishing vessels the author shows that the method of reduction fits organically in modern methodology numerical investigations and creates the conditions for economic and complex solution of tasks of ship hull structures engineering analysis.

Gribov K. V., Khe E. Ju. Artificial neuron net modeling for ship structures strength estimation The article describes some results of exploratory investigations to estimate the possibility to use artificial neuron nets when designing ship structures.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Bazhenov S. E., Egoshyn R. B., Krylova V. F., Gorev Ju. N. Rescue submersible vehicle to be used together with submersible rescue complex Analyzed is the concept of creation of submersible rescue vehicle (SRV) with combination rescue method: when submariners pass from their submarine into SRV («dry» method) and when they go, in special escape equipment, from submarine into the water with subsequent entry of SRV («wet» method).

SHIPBOARD EQUIPMENT

Shulgina M. Ju., Pakharkov I. G., Sushkov A. S. The problems to use organic gravity liquids in trim systems Reviewed are possibilities to replace hydrargyric medium of submersible vehicles’ trim systems with organofluoric gravity liquids. Comparative characteristics of gravity liquids are presented. The priorities of gravity liquids characteristics depending on the type of picked system are analyzed.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Berestovitsky E. G., Sarafanov I. A. Vibratory method of cavitation criteria definition Examined are different methods of cavitation factor estimation. It is demonstrated that due to vibratory method designed in «Avrora» Corporation Science & Production the cavitation factor can be estimated by the beginning of this process initiation. The method provides the validity of cavitation factors regardless of the number magnitude.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

Rumyantsev Ju. N., Fofanova V. V., Fertman I. B., Popov K. V. Information system for normative documents management at shipbuilding industry enterprises The article describes the shipbuilding normative documents bibliographic data and texts storage, retrieval and mapping capabilities of NormaCS storage-and-retrieval system. Electronic normative documents access system should become an integral part of information technologies for development and manufacturing of various shipbuilding products and should be used by shipbuilding industry enterprises.

Ishkov V. V. Concerning the question of evaluation of ship’s rolling-and-pitching as well as seakeeping characteristics at the design stage The author describes ships’ seakeeping capabilities evaluation program developed by «Almaz» Central Marine Design Bureau within the framework of competition of young specialists.

ECONOMICS AND FINANCES

Danilovsky A. G. Methods and models of technical solutions justification concerning marine powerplants Cited is a procedure of technical and economic solutions assessment at the initial stages of cargo carriers’ marine powerplants (MP) design. Underlying are system analysis method and system consistent optimization criteria. Demonstrated are possibilities to define loss of profits from MP system’s influences on a ship. Models to define the consistent criteria components were developed when creating conceptual and detail designing CAD-system.

Golosov A. I., Komok A. I. Demands of the times and tendencies of extra vocational educational system evolution Analyzed are peculiarities and tendencies of educational system’s evolution in shipbuilding industry. It is the authors’ opinion that in order to succeed in keeping and training of specialists you need to place extra vocational educational system on corporate footing.

SHIPBUILDING ORGANIZATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Tikhomirov A. V. Progressive technological processes of polymers application in shipbuilding and shiprepair Reviewed are efficient resource saving technological processes based on application of polymeric materials during shipbuilding and repair.

Khvalynsky V. N., Utkin V. E., Gervart A. Ju. Technology of straightening of mast fairwater hull Presented is technology of straightening of welded construction consisting of dissimilar metals of different thickness using concentrated heating and mechanical effect.
