General methodology of improvement of protectability of ships that carry ecologically dangerous substances in case of navigational emergencies (collision of ships, ground-ing) is considered. Three main tasks of ship’s emergency safety estimation are ana-lyzed: development of emergency situation scenario, grounding of protectability criteri-ons, building of calculating models of protective structures destruction. Specific rec-ommendation for solving of these tasks on the basis of practical experience of ship’s emergency strength regulation are given.

A method, developed by FSUE MBM «Malakhit», is proposed for salvation of crew from emergency submarine with the help of rescue apparatus(RA); this method lies in utili-zation of pryout force, that arises under effect of increased air pressure in flooded compartments of submarine, for obtaining sucking force sufficient for keeping RA upon submarine.
