The authors propose a method for building mathematical model of process of fuel burning in cylinders of diesel engine during its work on the basis of synthetic gas mixture. Calculation formulas and regression dependencies that allow to determine main operating processes of engine of various design depending from working medium composition are given.

Lazarevsky N. A., Tokarev L. N. Who is responsible for shipboard electric system in whole?
Important organizational/technical issue of responsibility for the quality of operation of electric system in whole is considered. The authors draw attention of vessels and ships designers to the fact that quality of the system consisting of electric equipment that satisfies technical specifications can be unsatisfactory from the point of view of the Customer and even the Rulses of Russian Maritime Register. They propose to develop technical specifications for the system and assign scientific organization that will be responsible for operational quality of the system as a whole.

The author gives a brief description of new TGD instrument for measuring of cargo level, temperature, pressure and density in tanks in conditions of low temperatures, as well as other technical facilities of «Valkom» company.

Tendencies of development of deep-sea diving complexes (DDC) in technically developed countries are overviewed, main features of most advanced DDC and ther components are given.
Shekun G. D. Convertion of centrifugal wheel into torque flow one in auxiliary turbopump structure
The author gives information about the project of modernization of auxiliary turbopump in which instead of centrifugal working wheel a torque flow one is installed. It is shown that in combination with high-speed turbo-drive it is possible to create a series of turbopumps with increased output and significantly lower metal intensity.
Markov V. G. Methodical issues of calibration of electromagnetic fields intensity gages in conductive mediums
The author considers particular features of building methods for calibration of electromagnetic fields intensity gages in conductive mediums, such as sea water, soil. It is shown that in such mediums in contrast to air medium some additional operations are to be made that make calibration more labour-intensive. Formulas for calculation of electric and magnetic field components in calibration devices of various types are given.
