Advantages and drawbacks of high-speed hydrofoil catamarans of various types are analyzed. Procedure for initial stages designing proved by the results of optimization of main components of such vessels is proposed.
Rudenko S. A. Highly seaworthy vessel with outriggers
Possibilities of a vessel that consists of a hull and two outriggers are considered in detail. Power plant is installed outside of the hull, in outriggers. The vessel is notable for high level of seaworthiness, low and smooth heaving, spare accommodation in hull, comfortable habitability, survivability. Advantages of the principle are revealed with the utmost efficiency at small vessels.
Semenova V. Yu. Determination of vertical intersecting forces and bending moments in case of longitudinal heaving at regular sea with consideration of non-linear factors
The author considers refined determination of intersecting forces and bending moments by the way of consideration of secondorder non-linear forces that is possible due to the method of calculation of non-linear longitudinal heaving developed by the author. Calculations of indicated values for vessels of various types are given, influence of non-linear factors is analyzed.

Advantages and drawbacks of motor oil cleaning in shipboard combustion engines by filtering and centrifugation are analyzed. Principles of improvement of efficiency of oil cleaning by combining of these methods are formulated. Optimum schemes of combined cleaning are given.

Results of experimental investigations of static and dynamic characteristics of all-metal elastodamping elements are presented. Dependences of these features from deformation value are obtained that can be used during development of special means of vibration isolation.

The author describes an approach to solving of the issue of automatization of fire danger monitoring in shipboard compartments with the use of a new method of fire danger monitoring in shipboard compartments. He considers mathematic model of fire risk condition of shipboard compartment and principles of modeling of dynamic processes in it with the use of mathematic apparatus of cellular automaton.
