CONTENTS

AT THE SHIPYARDS

SHIP DESIG

Egorov G. V., Isupov Yu. I. Mixed «river-sea» sailing 6440 DWT tanker «Armada Leader» with rudder propeller
The authors give description of lead mixed «river-sea» sailing tanker/product carrier «Armada Leader» of project 005RST01 (Marine Engineering Bureau) built at Turkish shipyard Selah for Russian «Palmaly» company in comparison with tankers of projects 0201L, R77, 621 and 550A.

Kvasha N. I., Lavkovsky S. A., Ivanzhin A. P., Vaynerman M. I., Ovchinnikov V. F., Edelev O. K. Underwater drilling complex
The authors tell about creation of principally new types of engineering structures and technical facilities for development of arctic hydrocarbon deposits located at shelf with sea depth of over 70–80 m the most important of which is underwater drilling complex (UDC), that provides all-year-round production drilling independently of natural climate conditions.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Yaroshenko A. V. System of automatic design of topology of cable routes installation and layout
Principally new approach to building of CAD systems for cable routes installation and layout, that considers simultaneously all shipboard systems and mechanisms, is proposed. CD system operating algorithm is considered. Results of its practical use are given.

Fasolko O. Yu. Hydrotransformer installation of guard-ship «Purga»
The author tells about the process of designing of frontier guard ice class ship «Purga», its technical features that provide high ice passability, hydrotransformer electric power plan and operation principles of the latter.

HULL GEAR AND ARRANGEMENTS

Loza A. V. Possibilities of steam-convection ovens use in ship galley
Description of modern galley equipment – CPC type steam-convection automat «Rational» of shipboard design and its technical features – is given. Its prospective importance for Russian shipbuilding is pointed out.

Stepanov A. M., Fedorov A. L. Vortex generators within the system of water-jet propulsors and shipboard hydraulic devices
The authors consider possibilities of decrease of hydraulic losses in water-jet propulsor, as well as in various hydraulic devices due to use of vortex generators. Results of experimental investigations are given.

MARINE ELECTRICAL AND RADIO EQUIPMENT

Karandashov Yu. S. Mathematical simulation of electric loads in shipboard electric station
The author presents scientifically validated method of determination of rated loading of shipboard electric stations by simulation of consumers modes on PC. Simulation algorithms, procedure for determination of rated loadings on design stage are proposed.

MARINE ELECTRICAL AND RADIO EQUIPMENT

Katanovitch A. A., Gekov V. A., Petrov N. N. Principles of building of prospective unified shipboard communication complex on the basis of new technologies
Principles of building and realization of shipboard unified communication complex with the use of new technologies for surface ships and submarines are considered.

MARINE CONTROL SYSTEMS

Agunov A. V. Analysis of electronic schemes in systems of schematic designing of shipboard automatics
Working features of electronic schemes are analyzed with the use of program package Electronics Workbench. Its is shown that electronic modeling allows to simulate behavior of a system in various modes, and consequently, to provide development of objective solutions in situations that are too complex for simple cause-effect evaluation of alternatives.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING AND ECONOMICS

Yuhnin V. E. Problems of improvement of quality of ships and component equipment being developed
Main directions of works within developed interdepartmental program for improvement of defense-industrial complex production quality are given.

SHIPBUILDING AND MARINE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES

Gavrilyuk L. P., Nesterov V. G. Methodical approach to provision of specified accuracy of shipboard equipment installation upon elastic foundation
The authors validate a methodical approach for provision of high-accuracy installation of shipboard mechanical equipment with consideration of change of hull elastic curve that is monitored by information-measurement system on the basis of electronic levels.

REPAIR AND MODERNIZATION OF SHIPS

Platonov A. V. Naval shiprepair base in 1938–1945
The author tells about five-year plan of development of repair bases and docking facilities of the Navy (from 1938) and specific significance of shiprepair yards in Kronshtadt, Vladivostok and Sebastopol, about the role of shiprepair bases during the years of Great Patriotic War.
