AT THE SHIPYARDS

SHIP DESIG

Dubovets A. B., Kaipov R. A., Schegolev L. I. Nuclear lighter-aboard ship «Sevmorput’» is 15 years old
The authors give description of the first-in-the-world nuclear ice-breaking cargo vessel - lighter-aboard/container carrier «Sevmorput’» and its power plant in connection with the 15th anniversary of its operation. They underline the advantages of the vessel and revealed drawbacks of the project. Propositions for elimination of the latter are made.

Kobylinsky A. V., Salazhov V. I. Ship’s hydrodynamic field. Theory and practical issues
The authors consider issues connected with research of ship’s hydrodynamic field reaction on which is used in fuses of modern mine weapons. Problem of utilization of hydrodynamic disturbances produced by underwater objects is considered with reference to detection of these objects and guiding torpedo weapons on them.

Zhivotovsky G. A., Rodionov A. A. Complex calculation of strength of foils of hydrofoil vessels
The article tells about developed algorithms of calculation for strength, stability and vibration on the basis of method of vortical particles and method of finite elements of foils with any given geometry. Determination of external loading takes into account particulars of hydrodynamic arrangement. Results of some calculations for HFS «Comet» are given.

Shitov A. I. Refined calculations of stability of cylindrical hulls of underwater technical facilities
The author proposes to use simplified formulas for calculation of local stability of hull shell between frames of underwater technical facilities (UTF) and general stability of compartment with frames, refines subcritical stress condition of shell in calculation of local stability and takes into account discreteness and eccentricity of external frames in calculations of general stability. Proposed formulas can be used for calculation of strength at all stages of design, operation and repair of UTF hulls.

Sazonov K. E. Influence of cylindrical insert upon ice propulsion and steerability of large capacity vessels
Influence of cylindrical insert upon propulsion and steerability of large capacity tanker in ice, including issues of ice resistance calculation, is considered. Results of calculation of ice resistance of cylindrical insert at variations of empirical factor are presented.

NAVAL SHIPBUILDING

Postnov A. A. Submarines on Volga
The author considers stages of development of Design Bureau «Lazurite» and main projects of submarines that have been designed by this Bureau during 50 years.

Abramov Yu. V., Polovinkin V. N. New blastproof system of rescue of submarine crew
The authors analyze design of existing means of rescue from emergency submarine (floating rescue camera, emergency-escape hatch, floating buoy) and give short description of developed and patented blastproof system of collective rescue of crew.

SHIPBOARD POWER PLANTS

Radchenko P. M. Floating mobile semi-submersible wind power station
Advantages of positioning wind power stations at sea and drawbacks of stationary sea wind installations are shown. Various methods of elimination of heaving, provision of ice resistance and stability of floating wind installations are considered.

Hotin S. Yu. Validating of expediency of use of solar power systems
Reprint from magazine «Bulletin of Odessa National Maritime University».

Bashurov B. P., Sereda M. P. Prediction models of failure-free operation of circulating pump of heat utilization contour of shipboard diesel power plants
The authors describe prediction models of failure-free operation of circulating pump of heat utilization contour of shipboard diesel power plants based upon the results of statistic researches with the use of factological information. The models can be used during forecasting of flaw and probability of failures, determination of residual life, elaboration of strategy of maintenance and repair of pumps being operated and designed that are similar in construction and functioning.

Minasyan M. A. Damping of shipboard mechanisms, devices and equipment by rope and combined vibration isolators
Properties of springing elements of various types of vibration isolators are considered. Expediency of application of rope and combines vibration isolators is validated. Results of experimental research and practice of their use in real operational conditions are presented.

HULL GEAR AND ARRANGEMENTS

Il’in N. A. Compressed air system for breathing of divers
The author proposes design of the system, requirements for components that provide keeping of purity of compressed air used for breathing of divers. It is shown that principal scheme of compressed air system for breathing of divers can be used during designing of shipboard, motor-car and container diving complexes.

MARINE CONTROL SYSTEMS

Klyachko L. M., Ostretsov G. E. Methods of automatic control of ship in case of availability of СНС receiver and fore thrusting propeller
The article considers the laws of automatic control of vessels movement by specified course angle with fixed drift angle (including zero drift angle, as well as with set speed of side movement of vessel during mooring with simultaneous stabilization of specified course angle). It describes logic conditions utilization of which allows to increase efficiency of operation of existing autopilots.

SHIPBUILDING AND MARINE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES

Zimnitsky Yu. A., Hvalynsky V. N. Experimental check of influence of low-frequency of vibration treatment upon operational reliability of hull structures
The authors present results of experimental researches of operational reliability of hull structures manufactured according to technology accepted today and subjected to low-frequency vibration treatment for decreasing of residual welding stresses. It is shown that use of LFVT can decrease durability of structures at acting requirements to quality of welded joints in shipbuilding.

Kachinsky R., Chulkin S. G. Water lubricated bearings for shipboard mechanical equipment
Prospective friction couples for shipboard equipment are considered. The authors present results of experimental researches of friction couples in which idea of wearing of binary surfaces at water lubricating is realized.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

Molchanov A. Yu., Antonenko I. N. System of integrated logistics support: program realization
The author considers program system of integrated logistics support of a product that is intended for control of operation of main production facilities and gives possibility of optimization of costs during all life-cycle of technically complex product.

Eremeev V. I. Modernization of river tankers of project 1754
The author proposes a change of structure of river tankers that envisages existence of double bottom and double boards that are formed by two frameless semi-cylinders connected by bridge and cut-in into transverse bulkheads. Proposed changes are based upon two patents of the author. New structure differs by lesser steel intensity and better processibility.
