The article considers the main results of activities of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (MR) in the field of elaboration and improvement of normative rules for main rudder propellers (MRP) and their components, and directions for technical supervision over the manufacture of these devices and their operation. It presents the list of equipment, materials and devices that constitute MRP and require approval of technical documentation and certification in the process of technical supervision. The analysis of active MR normative requirements for MRP is made.

A procedure is proposed for analysis of development of emergency processes in NPP in the result of external influences upon the ship, and justification of technical decisions that provide enhancement of safety level.
