MEDIUM FISHING REFRIGERATOR TRAWLER MERIDIAN-R, DESIGN PROJECT 03280
The trawler is intended for the following operations:
- Fishing by variable-depth trawls;
- Primary processing of the catch;
- Transportation of cooled products.
Vessels of Design project 03280 meet the requirements of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 633 dated 25 May 2017 on fishery as type-L investment mediums for the Northern fishing region.
Classified by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping as КМµIce3 АUT3 (REF) Fishing vessel.

Self-sufficiency of the vessel with regard to fresh water and foodstuffs, fuel and lubricating oil is 10 days.
The vessel is fitted with the following equipment for fishing:
- Two warp (trawling) winches with pulling force ca 8 tf;
- Two cable winches with pulling force ca 4 tf;
- Two pull-out winches with pulling force ca 4tf;
- One discharge winch with pulling force ca 5 tf.
All fishing equipment and machinery have electric drives.
Equipment of fish-processing complex ensures production output of cooled dressed fish and can process a daily catch of raw material of ca 20 t.
The fish-processing complex includes the equipment which enables either to dress the codfishes without beheading or to convey the undressed fish to the hold, to pack it into boxes with liquid icing, and to store it in the hold during the entire voyage.
The use of the liquid icing system enables to:
- Increase production output;
- Improve quality and density of products;
- Lengthen the storage time and consequently extend the voyage duration;
- Lower the expenses for making liquid ice in comparison with the traditional flake ice.
A special refrigerating plant maintains air temperature from 0 to minus 2°С inside the hold. This plant, as well as the plant for making liquid ice, uses R404А as the refrigerating agent, which is a safe substance and does not have limitations for use.
If desired by the Customer, the design of the vessel can be modified and amended to meet the necessary requirements.
