JSC SSTC TOOK PART IN THE 9TH INTERNATIONAL MILITARY DEFENCE SHOW
The International Maritime Defence Show “IMDS 2019”, conducted from July 10 to 14, 2019 in Saint-Petersburg is one of the leading exhibitions in area of shipbuilding and marine weapons. The exhibition was attended by 353 companies from 20 countries and 50 official delegations from 36 countries.
The International Maritime Defence Show was powered by the following agencies of the Russian Federation: Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Service of Military and Technical Cooperation, Government of Saint-Petersburg and JSC “Rosoboronexport”. Scope of interest of participants included scientific research, design, production and service of weapons and military equipment, works and services for armed forced and defence industry, works on advanced materials and IT. JSC SSTC participated in“IMDS 2019”and exhibited on 72 m2 area in pavilion No.7.
The following developments were demonstrated at SSTC exhibition stand:
- establishment of onshore stationing, maintenance and repair facilities for surface ships and submarines;
- design, modernization and retooling of shipyards and dockyards;
- advanced technologies for shipbuilding and ship repair including laser and robotic technologies, welding, cutting, bending of steel plates and pipes, surface cleaning;
- applicationof VR-technologies in area of design, construction and maintenance at shipyards;
- calculation and justification of price forming, labor norming and labor intensity;
- design and trials of shipboard valves and fittings.
Interactive electronic dummy of onshores hip stationing facilities using augmented VR-technology, arc augmented laser welding system “Orbita” and full-scale samples of shipboard valves and fittings, video films and booklets on equipment together with consultations rendered by JSC SSTC specialists gave comprehensive information for the visitors of IMDS-2019 regarding advanced technologies for construction of ships, vessels and marine equipment, design of shipyards and various vessel types.
In course of the exhibition, JSC SSTC conducted more than 40 business meetings and negotiations with intending visitors. Stand of JSC SSTC stand was visited by the following Russian officials: Yury Borisov, Deputy Chief of the Government, Oleg Ryazantsev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Boris Kabakov, Director of Department on shipbuilding industry and marine equipment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, representatives of JSC “United shipbuilding corporation” and JSC “Rosoboronexport”, as well as Russian and foreign companies (Algeria, Vietnam, Myanmar, etc.).
Joint delegation of the Government of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Government of Saint-Petersburg could witness the demonstration of arc augmented laser welding system “Orbita” which is fully based on domestic laser technologies, has no analogs in shipbuilding industry and ensures compression of production cycle together with production costs. Mikhail Aleksandrov, Director General of JSC SSTC has also introduced dummies of advanced control valves to be delivered to Russian shipyards in the nearest future in frames of import replacement program. These valves both enhances power efficiency of shipboard pipe lines and overall economic efficiency of marine equipment fabrication.
According to results of the 9th International Maritime Defense Show, JSC SSTC was awarded with medal and certificate of IMDS-19 awarded in the category “Bestexposition” and “Best exposition article”.
