JSC SSTC TOOK PART IN EXPONAVAL 2018 EXHIBITION

The International Naval Exhibition of Latin America (EXPONAVAL) held from December 4 to 7, 2018 in Vina Del Mar, Chile, is the only naval exhibition of Latin America. It is supported by Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Navy of Chile and attracts attention of leading manufacturers and buyers of military equipment from the whole world. These exhibitions were held under the supervision of the following Chile authorities: Ministry of Defence, Ministry and transport and water communications, Navy, Naval aviation.    

This year the exhibition was attended by more than 150 companies from 25 countries (Brazil, Ecuador, USA, France, Great Britain, Canada, Italy, Germany, etc.) and official delegations from 30 countries. 

JSC SSTC participated in “EXPONAVAL 2018” and exhibited the exposition at the square of 12 m2.

The following developments were demonstrated at SSTC exhibition stand:

- establishment of onshore stationing facilities for surface ships and submarines;

- design, modernization and retooling of shipyards and dockyards;

- advanced shipbuilding and shiprepair technologies, including laser welding and cutting, steel plates and pipes bending, surface cleaning;

- design and trials of shipboard valves and fittings.

In course of the exhibition JSC SSTC conducted more than 20 business meetings and negotiations with intending visitors. Stand of JSC SSTC was visited by: admiral Julio Leiva Molina, Commander-in-Chief of Chile Navy, rear admiral Ivo Brito Sanchez, Naval Attaché of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Chile, representatives of armed forces of Chile, Ecuador, Argentine, Brazil, Russia, Russian embassy in the Republic of Chile, JSC “Rosoboronexport”, as well as reps of local shipyards, business community and mass media.
